About Eric

Eric has helped hundreds of clients make sense of the complex state and federal tax and regulatory implications of owning and operating an aircraft, both for business and for personal use. He assists clients in the acquisition and sale of their aircraft by drafting and reviewing purchase agreements and advising on the state sales tax implications of each transaction. Eric also works with each client to develop an individualized structure for the ownership and operation of their aircraft, with the goal of maximizing federal tax benefits while remaining in compliance with the various state and federal regulatory restrictions.

Eric has worked with clients ranging from casual pilots purchasing light sport aircraft to corporations acquiring aircraft as large as Boeing Business Jets.

Eric is a pilot and aviation enthusiast with a passion for all things aircraft related. He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina, his J.D. from the University of Florida and his Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of San Diego. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the National Business Aviation Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Lawyer Pilot Bar Association.
